“I Know What Love Is (Because of You)” is a new collaborative single supporting MusiCares and featuring the combined talents of Keith Goodwin (of Good Old War), Zac Brown, Jason Mraz and KT Tunstall.
The project, put together by Taylor Guitars, features more than 50 Taylor artists contributing their own performances of the track, edited together seamlessly in a new video that debuted on Monday. In addition to the artists mentioned above, the accompanying musicians include Chris Conley of Saves the Day, Alanna Springsteen and many more.
100 percent of proceeds from the song go to MusiCares COVID-19 Fund.
“During lockdown one of the most challenging things for me was trying to adapt to not having my friends around to play music with,” said Goodwin of this musical collaboration. “This project really helped keep me focused on making music when everything else in life had changed so drastically. I’m grateful for this opportunity to connect and collaborate with such great artists and for a good cause. We are all lucky to be able to share our love of music together.”
More on the song itself:
Written by Keith Goodwin of Good Old War and co-produced by Jay Parkin (Taylor Guitars) and Gabriel O’Brien, “I Know What Love Is” reflects the spirit of community and connection that music provides for so many people around the world. The song, which features contributions from some 50+ artists across genres and styles, is a philanthropic project benefiting MusiCares®, an organization dedicated to providing emergency relief along with mental and physical health services for music industry employees and their families, so many of whom had their livelihoods impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Enjoy this special video premiere of “I Know What Love Is” featuring Zac Brown, Keith Goodwin, Jason Mraz and KT Tunstall, produced by Taylor Guitars in partnership with Nettwerk and the NAMM Foundation.
