It’s a nice day to catch Billy Idol and his band on tour.
The legendary singer/rock icon recently began the second North American leg of the It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! run with pals Joan Jett & the Blackhearts — a pairing that has led to some pretty epic nights, as expected.
Idol’s set for the tour opener on April 30 touched a bit on his new studio album, Dream Into It, which just came out on April 25 and marked his first full album of new material in over a decade.

Billy Idol’s guitarist and band member Steve Stevens was recently the focus of a Rock Cellar feature interview — and in it, he touches on why he thinks the Idol classic “Rebel Yell” still resonates, all those years later:
Steve Stevens: “I think that that whole record was the culmination of such great fortune. We already had the experience of recording the first album with Billy, and then we went out and toured so we had the touring experience. And then we sat down to write music, and they dropped us into Electric Lady Studios in New York, where I grew up, and Billy was living.”
