Meet FEET. The young UK band knows the plight of the vegetarian come the holiday season. Everybody’s talking about chicken/turkey/ham dinners and lavish meat-heavy platters that will be served around Christmas.

But what about everybody else? It’s about time vegetarians, vegans and those who opt not to partake in the eating of animal byproducts to have a holiday anthem of their own, and with that in mind the band premiered a catchy, dreamy Britpop-fueled new song titled “Vegetarian Christmas.”

It features lyrics like the following:

Intergenerations all sitting down for tea
Extended family
Sent to the garden shed to get those extra seats
Already anticipating what the grandparents think a vegetarian eats
What’s on your plate this Christmas?

What’s on your plate this Christmas?
Roasted veggies on a warm nut roast
Celebrations with the people you love most
Wholesome at heart
Playing your part
Nothings a tradition until it starts

And the corresponding video for “Vegetarian Christmas” depicts the familial warmth of the holiday season — just without meat! It CAN exist, you guys.

In October, FEET released its debut album, the amusingly titled What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham, which was produced by Cam Blackwood (Jamie T, London Grammar, Billie Marten etc) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Foals, Interpol, Beach House).
