‘VAX LIVE: A Concert to Reunite the World’ Airing 5/8 (ft. Foo Fighters, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, H.E.R., J Balvin and More)

On May 2, a host of big-name musical acts and entertainers will participate in VAX LIVE: A Concert to Reunite the World, a special event from international advocacy organization Global Citizen. The show will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast and streamed a week later, May 8, via numerous outlets.
Musical performances will come from Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R., while the broadcast will be hosted by Selena Gomez. Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also appear as Campaign Chairs, with additional appearances from President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Gayle King, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn and Sean Penn.
Per a news release, VAX Live will be “the first large-scale music event for a COVID-compliant audience composed of fully-vaccinated frontline healthcare and essential workers, VAX LIVE calls for new commitments from governments, the private sector, and philanthropists toward the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines worldwide.”
Per the VAX Live’s FAQ:
The YouTube livestream (available on Global Citizen’s YouTube channel as of 8 p.m. ET on May 8) will include additional performances and appearances by NCT 127, Picture This, and YouTube creators Daniel El Travieso, Kati Morton, ShootforLove, Thembe Mahlaba and The Try Guys.

As for the May 8 global broadcast:
The event will air and livestream on Saturday, May 8, 2021 on ABC, ABC News Live, CBS, YouTube, iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations and the iHeartRadio App, at 8:00 PM ET/PT, 7:00 PM CT. The concert will also air on FOX at 11:00 PM ET/PT.
