On Christmas, U2 released an intriguing video featuring the band members decorating a ‘Joshua Tree’ and some rather specific words from front man Bono:
“Happy Christmas, everyone. Next year’s gonna be a big year for the U2 group. We have Songs of Experience coming. And to honor the 30th anniversary of Joshua Tree, we have some very special shows. Very special.”
Here’s the video:

Songs of Experience would refer to a new album, the follow-up to 2014’s Songs of Innocence (the album they automatically gifted anybody with an iPhone, you may recall).
The 30th anniversary of the band’s landmark album Joshua Tree is also definitely something worth paying attention to — and Billboard went a step further, suggesting that U2 will embark on a stadium tour next summer and headline Bonnaroo.
Stay tuned!
