Todd Rundgren has detailed a new album titled Space Force. It’ll be the follow-up to 2017’s White Knight, and the celebrated singer/songwriter will release the album in batches: individual singles every three to four weeks with the album as a whole landing in early 2021.

The first song debuted from Space Force is “Espionage,” which was premiered on Tuesday and features Muslim hip-hop artist Narcy.

“The song is actually an orphan of White Knight,” said Rundgren in a statement. “Narcy and I began the collab in the final days of that album and we couldn’t get it finished in time, so in a sense it’s the first song of Space Force.”

A press release notes that the Space Force album also finds Todd Rundgren working with Weezer front man Rivers Cuomo and rock/pop band Sparks, with additional album details set to be revealed shortly.

Stay tuned for more from Todd Rundgren regarding this album and more — and in the meantime, enjoy our multi-part, one-on-one RockCellarTV interview with “The Toddfather” from Las Vegas in 2018, when Rock Cellar caught up with him, Steve Lukather and Ringo Starr geared around the All-Starr Band:

As a bonus for Toddheads, Rundgren and his Utopia band mates also were the focus of a lengthy video chat in July 2018:
