The Story Changes: New LP ‘To Hell With This Delicate Equation’ Out 4/26; Stream ‘Shooting Stars’

An emo/rock band making a comeback after several years, The Story Changes has announced a new LP, To Hell With This Delicate Equation, out April 26th via Magnaphone Records.
Hailing from Dayton, OH, The Story Changes is compromised of Hawthorne Heights members Mark McMillon and Chris “Poppy” Popadak and The Stereo’s Chris Serafini. Between touring, the trio spent their blocks of time recording their forthcoming album in McMillon’s home studio. The extra time worked in The Story Changes’ favor, giving them more room to experiment with their sound proven in their new single, “Shooting Stars.”
Six years since their last album, Static and Trembling (2013) “Shooting Stars” is a preview to the energy and confidence the band put into the album. The new single sets up the sound for the rest of the 12-track album, an aggressive blend of 90’s and early 2000’s music emo music.
In a press release, McMillon speaks to his vocals on the album, “I really wanted to try some different approaches with my voice on these songs and had a lot of fun layering my normal singing voice with additional whispers, screaming, and everything in between.”
In addition to the new album, The Story Changes will be playing shows across Iowa, Illinois and Ohio with their hometown album release show May 11. Pre-orders for the album and bundles can be found on the The Story Changes website. https://thestorychanges.com/
