Young Los Angeles rockers The Linda Lindas are riding a wave of momentum put in place by the runaway viral smash of their performance of “Racist, Sexist Boy” in an L.A. library last year — and on April 8, the band will release its debut full-length record, Growing Up, via Epitaph.

On Wednesday, the band shared a new video for a song called “Talking To Myself,” a jangly, catchy garage-rock jam with a video paying homage to the classic Twilight Zone episode “Living Doll.”

Depicting the band going through some significant difficulties with a group of demented dolls, it’s pretty entertaining:

Said Linda Lindas band member Lucia de la Garza of the song:

“The song is about the spiral you go into when you’re lonely. You start to question yourself and all the decisions you’ve made. I’m always looking back on conversations and going “Oh, I should have said this, I should have said that”. But it’s also about needing other people, not just for reassurance, but because we’ve all learned from the pandemic that you need other people to talk to in order to stay sane.”

Here’s another video for “Growing Up,” which was shared last month:

The momentum behind this band is in full force, so get on board if you haven’t already done so.
