The Immediate Family (Danny Kortchmar/Waddy Wachtel/Leland Sklar/Russ Kunkel/Steve Postell) Share “Fair Warning” Video

On Aug. 27, The Immediate Family, the esteemed and roll supergroup featuring Danny Kortchmar (guitar and vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar and vocals), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums) and Steve Postell (guitar and vocals), will release a full-length album.
One of the record’s pre-release singles is “Fair Warning,” which now has a music video, as shared by the band on Thursday.
Click here to pre-order the album on CD from our Rock Cellar Store.
In addition to 12 original tracks recorded over three days at Jackson Brownes studio in Los Angeles, the Immediate Family album will also include two bonus tracks, live versions of the Danny Kortchmar/Jackson Browne collaboration Somebodys Baby and Warren Zevons Johnny Strikes Up the Band.
For some additional background on the Immediate Family, the rock and roll resume of the group is eye-popping:
The band is the evolution of a lifetime of friendship of playing music together: it began in the 1970s as a collective of studio and live musicians known as The Section, best known for both their work in support of some of the top selling singer/songwriters and solo singers in the history of music, as well as their own acclaimed instrumental albums. Collectively, Kortchmar, Sklar, Kunkel and Waddy Wachtel are four of the most recorded, respected & sought-after musicians in modern music and helped define the sound of a generation by supporting many of the most iconic artists of the last five decades, including James Taylor, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Keith Richards, Neil Young, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Don Henley, Phil Collins, Bonnie Raitt, Warren Zevon, Stevie Nicks, Bryan Ferry, Lyle Lovett and Jimmy Buffett as well as producers Lou Adler and Peter Asher.
The members of the Immediate Family are very much interested in what theyre doing right now, though they appreciate the path that led them to where they are today:
We are very proud of the people weve gotten to work with, Kortchmar states, but were also thrilled to now be playing our own music. Wachtel concurs: Its too wonderful for words. I didnt see this coming, and now I cant imagine it having not happened.
