Fresh off breaking Billboard Hot 100 records by dominating the Top 10 with songs off her new album, Midnights, Taylor Swift has announced the Eras tour for 2023.

The news, which came with significant anticipation among her feverish online fan base around the world, will find the singer/songwriter and her band diving into the distinctly different sounds she’s explored throughout her thriving career.

Joining Swift on this first leg of what promises to be a huge global event will be a rotating array of noteworthy support acts, including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, Haim, Gracie Abrams, Gayle and Owenn.

Obviously, securing Taylor Swift tickets in today’s concert ticket-buying climate will be an adventure. Ticketmaster already has a Verified Fan registration page setup well in advance of the tour’s scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 15 on-sale — and even this registration page is taking a long time to advance users through the queue, at least through the day of the announcement. Registered fans who receive a code will have exclusive access to purchase tickets on Tuesday, November 15 starting at 10AM local venue time. Only fans that have received a unique code will have the chance to purchase tickets starting at $49 up to $449. In addition, VIP packages will start at $199 up to $899 on a first come, first served basis.

As for that new album, Midnights … Swift’s tenth album, it isn’t a straight-ahead indie/folk record like Swift’s 2020 albums Folklore and Evermore, though it does feature producer Jack Antonoff (who was heavily involved on those two LPs) on 11 of its 13 tracks.
