Out Now: Taylor Hawkins Among Guests on ‘Brother Johnny,’ Edgar Winter’s New Tribute Album to Johnny

As we noted back in January, the Johnny Winter tribute album Brother Johnny by Edgar Winter is out now on Quarto Valley Records.

17 tracks featuring a star-studded array of musician friends:  Joe Bonamassa, Doyle Bramhall II, John McFee, Robben Ford, Billy Gibbons, David Grissom, Warren Haynes, Steve Lukather, Michael McDonald, Keb Mo, Doug Rappoport, Bobby Rush, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ringo Starr, Derek Trucks, Waddy Wachtel, Joe Walsh, Phil X and Gregg Bissonette.

Brother Johnny also features late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins (drummer/vocalist Foo Fighters) singing vocals on the Johnny Winter cover  “Guess I’ll Go Away.” This is first release of music featuring Hawkins since his death on March 25th at the age of 50.
