LIVE This Weekend: Watch #SOSFest to Save Independent Venues: Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Leon Bridges, Miley Cyrus, Jason Mraz, Phoebe Bridgers, More

The uncertain future of independent live music venues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent closures of venues across the country sparked the creation of NIVA, the National Independent Venue Association, and this weekend, Oct. 16-18, a three-day virtual festival combining the talents of several big-name acts and historic music venues will take place as a fundraising endeavor to help ensure venues survive this difficult time. It’s called #SOSFest (as in #SaveOurStages), and it will be headlined by the Foo Fighters, performing at the Troubadour in West Hollywood.
The full #SOSFEST schedule is here! ⚡️ Things kick off this Friday, Oct 16 @ 5PM PT/8PM ET and go all weekend long. Head to https://t.co/xdfYoIHZFO to catch your favorite artists streaming live from 25 of the most iconic independent venues across the US. Join in to #SaveOurStages pic.twitter.com/gdYPIAgrw0

More details:
A three-day virtual benefit festival with artists and organizations rallying to the aid of independent music venues at risk of closing their doors permanently. Featuring original performances and commentary from diverse talent across genres and shot live at iconic indie stages, #SOSFEST aims to preserve our nation’s independent live music scene. The festival is raising funds for the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund, where any member organization can apply for support – please consider helping by clicking the blue Donate button.
And here’s the full list of performances, which span genres and styles — all coming together in the name of helping the live music industry during a time in which it’s sorely needed.
