‘Rock the Valley’ Battle of the Bands Competition Set for Canoga Park, CA. on 2/10

There’s a Battle of the Bands brewing in Canoga Park, California, and it’ll all go down on Monday, February 10 at the Madrid Theatre.

Billed as “a musical talent show organized to give musicians, an opportunity to showcase their talents,” the preliminary round of this Battle of the Bands competition will feature the following up-and-coming musical acts:

Spectre Jones (Indie Rock)
Pico de Gallo (Latin Jazz Rock)
Illunis (Rock/Americana/Folk)
Third Ally (Alternative Punk)

Put on by the Valley Cultural Foundation, the Battle of the Bands event has some specific goals in mind:

1. Promote live music through a quality musical talent show

2. Promote self-development by encouraging participation regarless of age, abilty, and musice genre. “Rock the Valley” Battle of the Bands is committed to acknowledging the fullest diversty of particpants and to promote equality of opportunity for everyone.

3. To promote the bands and the Valley Cultural Foundation as a leader in promoting and supporting up and coming artists in the music community.

4. To promote the culture and the arts.

5. To work with local businesses and organizations to promote this event and to provide advertising and opportunity for those supporters.

6. The development of Battle of the Bands web-links to ensure continual promotion of the event.
