Watch the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder’s Tiny L.A. Benefit Gig Covering Prince, Bob Dylan and More

Every now and then — OK, probably every day, somewhere or another — Los Angeles is host to an eye-popping musical event. Everybody lives there, after all, and on Saturday evening the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder teamed up for a truly special hour of music, benefiting the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.
it’s an annual event put on by RHCP bassist Flea and his colleagues, and this year’s show was hosted by Marc Maron, The music component of the evening, however, was a real treat for those in attendance, as the Chili Peppers played a number of their hits — even digging up the Californication album cut “Purple Stain” for the first time since 2004 — before Vedder closed out the night.
