Record Store Day 2019: Special Releases Sure to Please Fans of All Genres
As vinyl continues its major comeback among music fans, April 13 marks the day where collectors and fans alike will celebrate Record Store Day, camping out at local record stores hoping to snag the newest RSD releases and exclusives.
Over 400 RSD exclusives and first releases will be up for grabs including a new record from this years Record Store Day ambassadors, Pearl Jam. Earlier last month, the band was named the event’s official ambassador, and the legendary rock band followed with announcing the first release of Live at Easy Street, a recording of their performance at Seattle’s Easy Street Records in 2005.
The LP will include the tracks, “1/2 Full”, “Lukin”, “American in Me”, “Save You”, “Bleed For Me”, “The New World” and “Porch.”
This year’s Record Store Day features multiple exclusive releases fans won’t want to miss out on including:
My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade is Dead (Live in Mexico) This is the first-ever vinyl edition of the 2008 live album and will exclusively be available on Record Store Day at participating stores. The double vinyl set will include three bonus tracks and comes complete with a “death certificate,” for good measure, keeping very much in-line with the album’s overall themes.
2019 marks 50 years of Woodstock and 25 years since Green Day’s mud-slinging performance at the festival. In honor of that, Green Day will be releasing a remixed and remastered recording of their historic performance.
This Record Store Day will be the first time the recording is released on vinyl and will contain generic manufacturers of clonazepam Green Day’s 10-song set list.
Two releases of Live From Maida Vale are expected from Hopeless Records label mates The Used and The Wonder Years. The Used’s RSD exclusive contains live recordings of the bands 2018 performance. The record features one song from The Canyon, one song off their self-titled album and two cover songs from Nirvana and Linkin Park.
As for The Wonder Years, this is the Pennsylvania pop punk band’s first time releasing music for Record Store Day. 2019’s Record Store Day also marks more firsts for the band since this is their first time releasing a live album and 10″ records.
Following up the release of their latest album, Weezer will be releasing the Teal Album as an RSD exclusive and release Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets, containing b side favorites and rarities from the Blue album deluxe, as an “RSD First” title.
More RSD exclusives and releases include “Trust Fall”/”Just Like a Movie” from Wallows on 7″ colored vinyl. Both tracks are unreleased songs from the sessions of their upcoming album, Nothing Happens. Also debuting a release is the Gorillaz with the vinyl debut of their album, The Fall. This was the Gorillaz fourth album that was released back in 2010 and this like many other albums that day will sold at limited quantity.
This list merely scratches the surface of the other titles and exclusives that Record Store Day will make available in limited quantities. Visit the official RSD site to find a complete list of first releases and exclusives and participating stores.
