Beloved guitarist Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash in Florida on March 19th, 1982, yet his iconic looks and playing are forever etched into the memories of rock and metal fans. The gifted young musician who made his name with Quiet Riot, later sealed his legacy with his work on the two classic albums Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman by Ozzy Osbourne.

A feature-length documentary Randy Rhoads: Reflections of a Guitar Icon came out in May of this year. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray for home viewing on Sept. 23, and will be available from our Rock Cellar Store.

The documentary, covering the life and career of late Rhoads, is directed by Andre Relis, and narrated by Tracii Guns (guitarist for L.A. Guns and pre-Slash Guns N’ Roses). It features never-before-seen footage, interviews with Eddie Van Halen, Gary Moore, and  guitar players Rhoads influenced – including Dweezil Zappa and Whitesnake’s Joel Hoekstra.
