Rare Radiohead: Stream the Previously Unreleased “Follow Me Around,” from ‘KID A MNESIA’ Due 11/5

This coming Friday, Nov. 5, Radiohead will release KID A MNESIA,  a triple-album revisiting of the English band‘s 2000’s Kid A and 2001’s Amnesiac.

On Monday, a previously unreleased recording of a song titled “Follow Me Around” was debuted as a preview of the set. A fan-favorite track that has only been performed a few times in a live setting, this marks the song’s first official studio release. Its music video stars actor Guy Pearce:

The first (and only) somewhat official recording of the song appears in the 1998 documentary Meeting People is Easy, where the band performed it at a soundcheck in Fukuoka, Japan. Follow Me Around made its proper live debut at a Toronto concert in October 2000, when Thom performed the song acoustically, after fans campaigned for it to be played live on the Radiohead fan site followmearound.com.

KID A MNESIA collects Radiohead’s fourth and fifth albums alongside the debut of a newly compiled third disc titled Kid Amnesiae. Exclusive to this release, Kid Amnesiae is comprised of unearthed material culled from the Kid A / Amnesiac sessions. Along with alternate versions and elements of Kid A and Amnesiac album tracks and B-Sides, Kid Amnesiae features the never-before-heard “If You Say the Word” (available now as a digital single) and a previously unreleased studio recording of “Follow Me Around.”
