Pearl Jam is said to be working on a new album, the follow-up to 2013’s Lightning Bolt, but other than that we haven’t seen or heard much from the grunge legends in a while.

But Monday morning brought with it news of a European 2020 tour, as announced via Pearl Jam’s newsletter and website. The outing will hit major cities starting in June 2020, carrying Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Jeff Ament and Matt Cameron and their ensemble of musicians through until the end of July.

The schedule:

June 23 Frankfurt, Germany Festhalle
June 25 Berlin, Germany Waldbühne
June 27 Stockholm, Sweden Lollapalooza Stockholm
June 29 Copenhagen, Denmark Royal Arena
July 2 Werchter, Belgium Rock Werchter Festival
July 5 Imola, Italy Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari
July 7 Vienna, Austria Wiener Stadthalle
July 10 London, UK American Express presents BST Hyde Park
July 13 Krakow, Poland Tauron Arena
July 15 Budapest, Hungary Budapest Arena
July 17 Zurich, Switzerland Hallenstadion
July 19 Paris, France Lollapalooza Paris
July 22 Amsterdam, Holland Ziggo Dome

In early 2019, Pearl Jam premiered a new song titled “Can’t Deny Me,” a visceral charge of a tune led, as always, by Vedder’s impassioned lyrics.

Whether that turns up on the next Pearl Jam album remains to be seen.

In related news, a special, limited-edition vinyl release of PJ’s MTV Unplugged performance was released on Friday as part of Record Store Day Black Friday.

The LP was available in limited quantities, with fans clamoring to get their hands on a prized copy of the performance, which originally aired on MTV in 1992 and had not, as of yet, been released on vinyl, despite being a fan favorite performance for decades.
