Forgiveness is at the Core of Papa Roach’s New Video for “No Apologies”; ‘Rockzilla’ Tour Starts Late July

Papa Roach returned in early April with Ego Trip, the 11th studio album from the ever-evolving Northern California band, which first emerged more than two decades ago amid the “nu-metal” boom and has since outlasted many of its peers.

The record is a rejuvenated effort of purpose and emotion, front man Jacoby Shaddix and his band mates once again channeling life’s struggles into songs of catharsis and uplift — most notably on “No Apologies,” which received a music video on Tuesday.

Much as earlier Papa Roach singles like “Scars” and “Help” were reflective anthems for healing, “No Apologies” carries that torch, its video depicting a man visiting his father in a decrepit, rundown house before the pair ultimately puts aside its differences and rekindles a relationship:

“Life is art,” said Shaddix of the video in a statement. “Art is life. We continue to blur the lines. The video for no apologies is an expression of love and forgiveness. A story we can all learn and grow from. I know I did. Its real. Its raw. Its life. A must see.”

After breaking through in 2001 with “Last Resort,” Papa Roach has defied the odds (at least as far as many of its “nu-metal” peers are concerned), blazing a trail of undying energy and passion to where it is today, a powerhouse band that continues to be a can’t-miss live act.

In late July, Papa Roach will head out on the Rockzilla tour with Falling In Reverse and special guests Hollywood Undead and Bad Wolves, crashing through amphitheaters and outdoor stages across the country. Catch a gig:
