Ozzy Osbourne Having ‘Major Operation,’ Per Wife Sharon: “It’s Really Going to Determine the Rest of His Life”

Today, June 13, rock and roll/heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne is due for a “very major operation,” according to wife Sharon Osbourne, who announced the news on Friday during The Talk UK.
Per People, Sharon added “that she would be traveling to Los Angeles to be by his side and wouldn’t be appearing in person on the British talk series for the next month.
“He has a very major operation on Monday, and I have to be there,” Sharon said. “It’s really going to determine the rest of his life.”

Sharon added that Ozzy was in “good spirits” leading up to his operation, which comes after a particularly trying few years for the 73-year-old rocker. A number of medical issues (among them a Parkinson’s diagnosis) forced him to postpone and/or cancel tour dates … and that was before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. He did release a solid new record, Ordinary Man, just weeks before the world paused in March 2020.
Procedures to deal with neck and spine issues were said to take place in the Fall of 2021, per Sharon, so it’s been anything but smooth sailing for Ozzy during all of this. It was reported that the plan for the surgery is to remove and realign pins in his neck and back.
Whatever the nature of his major operation on Monday, here’s hoping he comes through with a clean bill of health.
Best wishes go out to Ozzy, Sharon and the whole Osbourne family.
