Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Covered the Beatles, the Band and More in First-Ever Live Set at Outside Lands (Watch)
This past weekend, the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival took place at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Rock Cellar Magazine wasn’t on-hand for this year’s festivities, but thankfully one of the weekend’s most amusing spectacles made its way online…the debut live performance of the Muppets’ house band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem!
The puppet band took the Lands End stage on Sunday afternoon for a short & sweet set featuring multimedia clips, jokes, banter and some spirited musical performances, including covers of the Band‘s Ophelia, the Mowgli’s San Francisco, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros‘ Home and the Beatles‘ With a Little Help from My Friends, which featured the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir.
It was a ton of fun and was one of those special “festival moments” you won’t soon forget:
