New Music Out This Week 9/11: The Stray Cats, Delta Spirit, Marilyn Manson, Doves (Preview/Pre-Order)

This upcoming Friday, Sept. 11 brings with it a handful of new music releases spanning multiple genres. Below is our curated list of Rock Cellar’s new music picks for Sept. 11, along with links to purchase (where applicable).
The Stray Cats — Rocked This Town: From LA to London (Click here to pre-order from our Rock Cellar Store)
In 2019, legendary rockabilly trio the Stray Cats embarked on their 40th anniversary tour, and recordings from that run of gigs have been compiled into a new live album, Rocked This Town: From LA to London.
Rocked This Town: From LA to London was produced by the band’s Brian Setzer (guitars/vocals), Lee Rocker (bass) and Slim Jim Phantom (drummer) and was mixed by Vance Powell. The live record features run-throughs of many of the Stray Cats’ iconic hits, as well as selections from the band’s 2019 album 40 — the group’s first new album in 26 years up to that point. Delta Spirit — What Is There (Click here to pre-order from our Rock Cellar Store)
After six years away, California indie/rock band Delta Spirit will get back after it this week with a new studio album. What Is There has been previewed in recent weeks with a handful of songs, including this impressively-shot video for “How Bout It,” filmed in 30 different locations and capturing the spirit of America during the COVID-19 pandemic:
Marilyn Manson — We Are Chaos (Click here to pre-order from our Rock Cellar Store)
Even two decades removed from his stranglehold on the pop culture conversation, Marilyn Manson remains as provocative as ever — and his 11th studio album, We Are Chaos, arrives this week.
Written/produced by Manson and Shooter Jennings, the album was previewed with the gloomy title track and its jarring music video, featuring the trademark goth-David-Bowie vibe that Manson has worn so effectively over the years:
Doves — The Universal Want (Click here to pre-order from our Rock Cellar Store)
The Universal Want is the first new record from English rock band Doves since 2009, and the first since the band ended its hiatus in 2018. It was previewed in recent months with “Carousels”:
“Prisoners”:
And “Cathedrals of the Mind”:
