Rest in Peace, Country Music/Entertainment Legend Naomi Judd: 1946-2022

Naomi Judd, renowned singer/actor/member of The Judds alongside her daughter, Wynonna, passed away Saturday at the age of 76.
The unfortunate news was shared by Wynonna and her sister, Ashley Judd, in a post on social media:
“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”
The Associated Press added that Judd passed away near Nashville, TN., and that no further details will be made available regarding her death.
Despite the sad news, the Country Music Hall of Fame went ahead with its induction of the Judds on Sunday, with the family requesting that the Hall of Fame carry out its planned event:
"We are shocked and saddened by the death of Naomi Judd, who enters the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow as a member of the @juddsofficial. Her family has asked that we continue with the Judds' Hall of Fame induction Sunday. We will do so, with heavy hearts."

“Naomi overcame incredible adversity on her way to a significant place in music history,” said Country Music Hall of Fame CEO Kyle Young, per AP. “Her triumphant life story overshadows today’s tragic news. Her family has asked that we continue with The Judds’ official Hall of Fame induction on Sunday. We will do so, with heavy hearts and weighted minds. Naomi and daughter Wynonna’s music will endure.”
Ashley and Wynonna appeared at the ceremony in what was an understandably emotional scene:
May Naomi Judd rest in peace.
