Heart‘s Nancy Wilson has a special upcoming concert event with the Seattle Symphony — and the event will now take place on Oct. 30, rather than the originally scheduled date of July 9.

The move was announced on Monday, and comes in reaction to the loosening of audience restrictions, with Wilson hoping to grant access to the event to more of her fans in an in-person setting.

“I want this concert to be a celebration for all my fans to be able to attend,” said Nancy Wilson in a statement. “We can’t gather here for a great night like that right now — but we are so close to the end of this terrible pandemic. My hope is to share this music and my performance alongside the orchestra with as many people as possible. These extra months will make all the difference and give us a chance to get together and let go of the tough times we’ve had.”

Originally, a very small in-person audience was going to be part of the concert event, but in light of the date change, the hope is Wilson and the symphony will be able to host a bigger audience at the show itself. It also comes on the heels of Wilson’s very first solo album, You and Me, which was released in April. And click here to read our feature interview with Nancy from May.
