Michael Stipe, longtime vocalist for R.E.M., is feeling creative right now — and over the weekend, the singer debuted a new solo song, a collaboration made with Aaron Dessner of the National.

Titled “No Time for Love Like Now,” the song can be heard below, with Stipe delivering thought-provoking lyrics like the following;

where did this all begin to change
the lockdown memories can’t sustain
this glistening, hanging free fall

i turned away from the glorious light
i turned my head and cried
whatever waiting means in this new place
i am waiting for you

This release from Michael Stipe comes after he released a 4-step PSA regarding how to conduct yourself amid the coronavirus pandemic — specifically, tips for staying healthy during these uncertain times.

He also sang a bit of R.E.M.’s “It’s The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine),” which re-entered the music charts in light of the pandemic:

Back when the PSA video was released, the iconic R.E.M. song had re-entered the iTunes music charts, having “skyrocketed 184% to 1,000 downloads sold and 48% in on-demand U.S. streams to 746,000, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data,” per Billboard.

Back in October, Stipe released his first-ever solo recording, “Your Capricious Soul”:

Which he followed up with “Drive to the Ocean”:
