Jam band fans, this one’s definitely for you.
On January 25-28, 2017, Grateful Dead legends Bob Weir and Bill Kreutzmann, along with Dave Schools, Jeff Chimenti and Tom Hamilton and the String Cheese Incident will host a special concert vacation along the Caribbean coastline in Mexico.
Called Los Muertos Con Queso, this fun event will also feature the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, with more acts TBA.
Spanning four nights, this really ought to be quite a party.
Obviously, a number of travel packages will be available for fans of varying bank account sizes — here’s some more info:
Los Muertos con Queso is an all-inclusive concert vacation in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. You’ll be whisked from the airport in special Los Muertos con Queso shuttles and taken to your tropical resort, where your all-inclusive vacation will begin. You’ll experience four unforgettable nights of music on the beach: Bill Kreutzmann & Bob Weir with Dave Schools, Jeff Chimenti and Tom Hamilton (3 nights), The String Cheese Incident (3 nights), The Chris Robinson Brotherhood (1 night), an intimate, acoustic performance by Chris Robinson and Neal Casal, and much more. The Caribbean Sea provides a gorgeous backdrop for these beachfront concerts, with the state-of-the art stage just feet away from the clear blue waters.
The Barceló Maya Beach, an incredible all-inclusive resort, will play host to the concerts. The resort sits on a mile-long stretch of white sandy beach and stunning landscapes, with eight glittering pools across the property. You may reserve a room at the Barceló, or choose to stay at another one of our other carefully selected hotels. With the exception of the Rosewood, which is not considered all-inclusive, each resort features a variety of restaurants, multiple bars and daily activities, all included in your package price. Spend your days lounging by the pool and beach, or explore the nearby towns of Tulum or Playa del Carmen. Partake in exciting off-site adventures, or sleep off the night before and soak up some sun.
Each night, guests staying at the Barceló Maya will walk out of their rooms and take a short stroll to the beach to see the show. If you are staying at one of our other properties, a shuttle will deliver you within feet of the main stage.
Visit the event’s official site for full details and more about this excursion. And be sure to check out Weir’s great new solo album, Blue Mountain.

Hey there. Looking to bring some friends. Possible to come on the 27th and 28th? Bob and Bill playing those nights? There would be 6 people 3 rooms. Not sure on paying for the whole package. I have a speaking event on the 26th in CA which is a problem. I’m the astronaut that was in space for a year. Scott Kelly. Have met Bobby a couple of times recently, but the timing of the whole four days is an issue. Would love to be there for the last two days! Please let me know
