Little Days, a duo based out of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles featuring Mini Diaz and Jorgen Carlsson (of Gov’t Mule), debuted a new single titled “Shine.”

Shared this week, the track is described by the band as “Progressive folk rock with a sprinkle of Celtic fairy dust,” and it can be heard below:

Little Days is one of the acts included in our Independent Artists Section, where their 2019 album Pop & Tacos is the focus of a short feature. The album features guest appearances from Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule), Steve Lukather of Toto and Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.

Here’s a bio of Little Days, from the duo’s official website:

Both are songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, recording engineers and produce their songs in their 24-track analog and digital recording studio, Rogers Boat.

A major part of their creative process includes recording straight to tape and mixing onto an analog 2 track machine.

Their music hold a familiar retro sound-perhaps it’s a missing tape reel found in a vault circa 1978 paying homage to bands like ABBA, Pink Floyd and 10cc, yet undeniably unique while Little Days beckons the listener to simply dive in and enjoy their own ride.

Little Days performed at the Gov’t Mule’s annual Island Exodus in Jamaica

(2019 and 2020), toured the East Coast and in Sweden and performs locally at The Baked Potato. They guest hosted their own show on SiriusXM JamOn’s “Roll your own” where they gave some insight on how they got heavy hitters like Steve Ferrone and Mike Campbell (The Heartbreaker’s), Steve Lukather (Toto), Will Lee (Worlds Most Dangerous Band) and both Warren Haynes and Matt Abts (Gov’t Mule) to record for their third album “Pop & Tacos”; a collection of songs showcasing their affinity to the pop-rock and psychedelic music of 60’s and 70’s they grew up listening to.

Since the release of “Pop & Tacos” they’ve been putting out singles and occasionally release live performance videos from their studio.
