More New Lindsey Buckingham: Stream “Scream,” from New Self-Titled LP Out 9/17; Fall Tour On Now

Lindsey Buckingham is gearing up to release his new self-titled album on Sept. 17 — and on Wednesday, the heralded guitarist/longtime Fleetwood Mac icon shared another track from the record. Titled “Scream,” the tidy two-minute-and-eighteen-second song that opens the record can be heard below:
Said Buckingham of the new album:
“Everything on the record is me, for better or worse. Many of the songs on this album are about the work and discipline it takes in maintaining a long-term relationship. Some of them are more about the discipline and some of them are more about the perks. ‘Scream’ is about the perks. It felt very celebratory and it was also very, very simple and short. To the point. It didnt evolve into some huge thing. It made its case and got the hell out. It just seemed like a good place to start the album, somehow. Its very upbeat and very optimistic and very positive. Its a celebration of an aspect of life.”

Buckingham also turned up on the new album from pop star Halsey, strumming some guitar on a track from If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
“Scream” is the third song shared ahead of the album, following “I Don’t Mind”:
And “On the Wrong Side”:
The songs on the record were written, produced and recorded by Buckingham at his home studio in Los Angeles, making this truly a solo effort in every sense of the word.
The track listing:
1. Scream
2. I Dont Mind
3. On The Wrong Side
4. Swan Song
5. Blind Love
6. Time
7. Blue Light
