LA Rats is a new hard rock supergroup featuring Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx, vocalist Rob Zombie, Zombie’s longtime guitarist John 5 and drummer Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie). News of their formation popped up this week thanks to a series of cryptic social media posts, leading up to the official news.
The group’s first song shared with the masses has arrived: A cover of “Geoff Mack’s “I’ve Been Everywhere,” recorded for the soundtrack to a Netflix film called Ice Road, which will premiere on June 25.
The full track listing for the film’s soundtrack:
“All I Do Is Drive” – Jason Isbell
“Rubber Meets The Road” – Brantley Gilbert, Tyler Hubbard
“Eighteen Wheels and A Dozen Roses” – Carly Pearce
“I’ve Been Everywhere” – L.A. RATS
“We Got Fight” – Gary LeVox
“I’m Movin’ On” – Miranda Lambert
“Six Days On The Road” – The Cadillac Three
“Don’t Come Lookin'” – Jackson Dean
“Hurricane” – Luke Combs
“Heart Made Of Steel” – The Assassinzs feat. John Carter Cash, Robin Zander
“All Coming Down” – Mark Collie, Allison Moorer
“Drive” – Tim McGraw
“I’ve Been Everywhere,” of course, was a hit for several artists, including country singer Hank Snow (a No. 1 hit in 1962) and Johnny Cash, who recorded it for his 1996 album American II: Unchained, produced by Rick Rubin.
