Judy Collins Shares New Single ‘White Bird,’ from ‘White Bird – Anthology Of Favorites’ Collection Out 5/21

Legendary singer/songwriter and influential folk icon Judy Collins has crafted an unrivaled reputation as one of the most gifted to ever take up the craft, and on May 7 she will release White Bird – Anthology Of Favorites, a hand-picked collection of “songs that remain dear to her heart so much so that she can still remember exactly where she was the first time she heard them,” per a news release.
One of those is “White Bird,” originally recorded in 1969 by the San Francisco group It’s A Beautiful Day, but recently recorded by Collins for this special release. It’s the song that gives her new anthology its name, and it was debuted on Friday:

White Bird – Anthology of Favorites also features new versions of songs originally by Joni Mitchell (“Chelsea Morning”), The Byrds (“Turn! Turn! Turn!”), Randy Newman (“I Think It’s Going to Rain Today”) and more. Stephen Stills, Joan Baez and Willie Nelson also turn up as special guests on on various songs.
