There’s a first for everything — and today, March 25, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Joan Jett & the Blackhearts released Changeup, their very first all-acoustic record.

Changeup features 25 stripped-down arrangements, some of them classic Jett hits like “Bad Reputation,” “Cherry Bomb” and their cover of Tommy James & the Shondells’ “Crimson & Clover,” as well as “(I’m Gonna) Run Away”:

The acoustic arrangement of “Bad Reputation” surfaced online in late 2021, in hindsight the first glimpse into this Changeup project:

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts will head out on the road on this summer’s highly anticipated Stadium Tour alongside Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Poison.
