Best New Music: Jeff Beck Returns with New Album 'Loud Hailer' – Listen

Guitar god Jeff Beck has returned. On Friday, Beck released Loud Hailer, an album of new material featuring contributions from rhythm guitarist Carmen Vandenberg and vocalist Rosie Bones.
As Beck told us in our July cover story/feature interview, he basically sees this project as a fresh version of the Jeff Beck Group:
“That’s what it really is. I’ve simplified my playing, and it’s ended up possibly being the closest you could get to a Truth album, with the state of my playing and where I’m at now. I simplified it on purpose, to get to the melodies in the best way possible.”
