Watch Jason Momoa (‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Aquaman’) Break in His New Fender Bass with Some Red Hot Chili Peppers

A few weeks ago, Jason Momoa — known for his acting roles in Game of Thrones (as Khal Drogho, Dothraki leader) and Aquaman, celebrated his 41st birthday.
Momoa is actually a pretty avid rock and roll fan, and for his birthday he received a pretty sweet gift: a Fender Precision Bass, gifted to him by Vincent Van Trigt of the Fender Custom Shop.
On his Instagram page, Momoa documented his surprise gift from the company, and took the opportunity to channel Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers — slapping out a few bars of the opening bars of the Chili Peppers’ version of Stevie Wonder‘s “Higher Ground”:

Admittedly, the new bass guitar given to Jason Momoa looks rather tattered … though it is actually brand new. Per Loudwire:
The P-Bass he received shows a heavy application of the Fender Custom Shop’s Relic treatment. Before giving it to the actor, Van Trigt showed off the finished four-string axe along with the two neck options he was considering.
Here’s a photo of a man in love.
For more from Momoa’s life and times, here’s another Instagram photo with Billy F Gibbons and Matt Sorum, from a Harley Davidson shoot:

And who can forget Momoa’s impression of Ozzy Osbourne, part of a promo for the Prince of Darkness’ recent album Ordinary Man?
Jason Momoa has some fun, doesn’t he?
