Watch the Dramatic New James Bond Trailer for ‘No Time to Die,’ Featuring a Glimpse of Rami Malek as the Villain

No Time to Die, the anticipated new installment to the James Bond film franchise expected to be the final entry from star Daniel Craig portraying 007, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 12 in the U.K. and Nov. 20 in the U.S. — and on Thursday, an explosive and dramatic new trailer for the film was premiered, granting a few mysterious seconds of screen time to the villainous Safin, played by Rami Malek.
No Time to Die features Craig, reprising his role for the last time, per reports, and Malek — star of television’s Mr. Robot and, most notably, Bohemian Rhapsody, for which he won the Best Actor Oscar for his uncanny portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the 2018 biopic (pick a copy of the Blu-ray from our Rock Cellar Store by clicking here).
The new Bond trailer features a few glimpses of Malek as a character named Safin, of which little is known so far outside of the brief scenes in this trailer:
In addition to Craig and Malek, No Time to Die features a cast including Jeffrey Wright (as Bond’s old friend Felix Leiter), Ralph Fiennes (as M), Léa Seydoux (as Dr. Madeleine Swan), Ben Whishaw (Q), Christoph Waltz (as Ernst Blofeld), Naomie Harris (as Moneypenny) and newcomers to the Bond franchise, Ana de Armas (as a CIA officer) and Lashana Lynch (as another OO agent, Nomi).
No Time to Die features a theme song from Billie Eilish, which was premiered back in February before the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the film’s scheduled release from April 2020 to November 2020. In recording a Bond theme, Eilish — who teamed up with Hans Zimmer, Johnny Marr and Eilish’s brother/producer FINNEAS — became the youngest artist to record a Bond theme in the history of the storied film franchise.
