Hot Club of Los Angeles invests its performances on Cinema Swing with passion and the band’s unique approach to gypsy jazz, reflecting the accomplished musicianship and stylistic breadth of the group’s members as captured by Doyle, who doubled as the album’s producer. “We’re not your parent’s, or grandparent’s gypsy jazz band,” notes Byron. “We range far and wide across genres, while still honoring Django’s legacy. It’s fun music that will brighten your day, put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.”
Bern Bern Bern
Bern Bern Bern provides potent testimony to the sheer exhilaration of big band jazz….a combination of intense swing, fiery soloing, exciting arrangements, and tight ensemble playing that is showcased within a unique production palette, all the time being powered by Bernie Dresel’s extraordinary drumming talents.
I’m Still Thinking of You
I’m Still Thinking of You explores the themes of unrequited love, loss, and memory, sometimes upbeat, and at other times, melancholic. In listening, I hope that people take away, empathy, love for the characters introduced on this album, and a positive, relaxed vibe.
Pure pop sensibilities combined with sweet melodicism and driving guitars, TROUBLE AGAIN is the latest 10-song rock/power pop release from Rob Bonfiglio. Written and recorded entirely solo, this marks Rob's 5th solo release to date.
Love & Revolution
If the saying “Music is the Soul given a voice” is true, then Rene Collins is that voice. Infusing African spirituality with reggae, jazz, folk, and a hint of Hip hop for taste, he blends together a sound, as contemporary as it is timeless. His music gives us more than something to fill the silence. He imparts to us words of wisdom and light in a perfect marriage of insight and love.
Keep Letting Go
Gary Stockdale's latest CD, "Keep Letting Go" was released in 2017, is his best yet. It was co-produced by Greg Prestopino ("Break My Stride), and features Grant Geissman and James Harrah on guitar, Steve Deutsch on bass, MB Gordy on drums & percussion, Debra Dobkin on percussion, Dave Pearlman on pedal steel, and many other special guests.
I moved to the top of a mountain between the Mojave Desert and the San Joaquin Valley in California. I created all this music up here by myself (Wyatt Easterling and Rachel Mills co wrote several of the songs). And because it’s several hours from Los Angeles I ended up playing and singing everything though I duet with Rachel on Ripples on the Dance Floor. Hope you love the new music. Produced, arranged, composed and performed by James Lee Stanley
This World Is Ours Part 1
Lost In Atlantis album is full of powerful ballads, guitar hooks, electronic influences, full of massive chorus that encompasses their true genre of "rocktronica". The opening track 'Guardian Angel' features the lead singer of Yellowcard, Ryan Key. 'Wild Kids' follows with a more melancholic manor, with multi-layered elements that can belong to a movie soundtrack. 'Real You' has a heavier electronica influence that hits hard with distorted guitars. 'This World Is Ours' is a more pop driven song with heavy dance influences, synth breakdowns and massive leading choruses. 'Run' closes the album and it fully encapsulates Lost In Atlantis' 'rocktronic' motif. Full of powerful, rhythmically driven songs, with massive bass and drum parts.
Pop, Baby (Deluxe Version)
Pop, Baby is a power pop mashup of Elton John piano, glam rock guitars, Beach Boys vocal stacks, and new wave synth candy. Written, produced, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Adam Daniel in his bedroom studio, the 2013 release was described by Absolute Powerpop as "...the golden mean between Paul McCartney and Elton John..." and by Vicki Peterson of The Bangles as "...pure summer shimmer."
