Watch Halsey Perform “Darling” with Lindsey Buckingham on ‘Saturday Night Live’

This past weekend, Halsey was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, treating the audience to two starkly different performances highlighting her new album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which was produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and released in late August.
First up was a performance of “I Am Not a Woman, I’m a God,” which featured a stylish performance which listed famed filmmaker Michel Gondry as creative director:
The second performance, the acoustic guitar-driven “Darling,” featured special guest in the form of guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, who also guests on the recorded version included on the album:

Buckingham, by the way, also just released a new album of his own, a strong self-titled record that came out in mid-September.
The two disparate songs represent the depth of If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, a resolute expression of focused creativity that stands apart from her previous material as an intriguing progression toward something entirely new and fresh.
