Out Now: Daryl Hall & John Oates Revisit 1997’s ‘Marigold Sky’ for 25th Anniversary with Digital, Vinyl Release

First released in 1997, Marigold Sky marked the first album released by Daryl Hall & John Oates as independent artists. The beloved rock/pop duo‘s 15th album together, Marigold Sky was led by the single “Promise Ain’t Enough,” a Top 10 hit on the U.S. Adult Contemporary charts and a global smash.
The record became a fan favorite, but until today, March 25, 2022, the album had yet to be made available on digital streaming platforms or released on vinyl — but now it has, much to the approval of those longtime fans eager to revisit the first release from the duo as independent artists.

“I look at ‘Marigold Sky’ as the lost Hall and Oates album,” said Daryl Hall. “The fans have been asking me for years about it. I’m really proud of these songs and happy to see that it’s getting a global re-release.”
Added John Oates: “I am really pleased that ‘Marigold Sky’ is finally becoming available around the world. It’s a very unique and cool album, and I hope old and new fans really enjoy it.”
