Originally released in 2003, Do It For Love marked the 16th studio album from pop/rock masterminds Daryl Hall & John Oates.

It was yet another successful record for the acclaimed singer/songwriting team, thanks to singles such as “Getaway Car,” “Man on a Mission” and the title track, which peaked atop the Adult Contemporary chart — good for the 8th No. 1 hit in the duo’s career.

Today, Sept. 30, Do It For Love has been revisited for its first official vinyl release, following this past March’s revisiting of 1997’s Marigold Sky (which was also that album’s first vinyl release). Do It For Love will be available on 2-LP, while it will also be reissued on gatefold digipak CD.

Said Daryl Hall of the original Do It For Love album, and where it stands in the Hall & Oates repertoire:

“It was interesting for me to record for the first time in London. Working with a new team of producers during a time when pop music was in transition from the mega success of the ‘Boy Band’ craze while at the same time trying to preserve the integrity and sound that Daryl and I had created over the years.”

Added Daryl Hall: “A good record.”

Todd Rundgren, frequent collaborator/tour partner of Hall & Oates, also appeared on the album on a cover of New Radicals’ “Someday We’ll Know”:

The double-LP’s track listing:

Make You Stay
