Back in August, Lzzy Hale and hard-rock heroes Halestorm announced to the world that they were “Back from the Dead” with a heavy, anthemic new song — and now the band has followed up that burst of energy with news of an album due out May 6.

Back from the Dead, which was officially announced on Friday, will be the Grammy-winning band’s fifth studio album and was given a second preview in the form of “The Steeple.”

It’s another arena-ready shredder from the band with a typically soaring chorus from Hale, one of the most dynamic singers in music today:

And here’s the aforementioned “Back from the Dead”:

Said Lzzy Hale of the album experience:

“We started writing this album about three months B.C. (Before COVID). Once we went into lockdown and were unable to perform and tour, I fell into a dark place and something of an identity crisis. This album is the story of me carving myself out of that abyss. It is a journey of navigating mental health, debauchery, survival, redemption, rediscovery, and still maintaining faith in humanity.”

The track listing:

Back From The Dead
Wicked Ways
Strange Girl
Brightside
The Steeple
Terrible Things
My Redemption
Bombshell
I Come First
Psycho Crazy
Raise Your Horns

Halestorm recently finished a big tour with Evanescence and is preparing for a run of shows in the U.K. that will treat fans to some intimate and special performances. Said Hale:

“We are so excited to announce our upcoming Evening-With tour of the UK! That’s right, All Halestorm, all the time! A collection of up close and personal shows where we will be performing deep cuts, all the fan favorites, and even some brand new songs! Come join us!”
