New from Greta Van Fleet: Acclaimed Young Rockers Return with Rollicking ‘My Way, Soon’

The last few years have been rather eventful for Greta Van Fleet, the explosive young rock and roll band with a strong affinity for the “classic rock” sound — and on Friday, the group roared back with a lively, joyous and rambunctious new song titled “My Way, Soon.”
Combining a bluesy lead guitar riff and the shrieking howls of lead singer Josh Kiszka, the track is sure to appeal to anybody who dug the band’s 2018 debut album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army.

The music video for the track is a reflective look back on the band’s time on the road bringing its rock and roll energy to the masses:
This song was inspired by what three years of touring did by opening so many doorways. This is my truth, how I feel about all of our travels, but I know it echoes the experiences and changes of perspectives for Jake, Sam, and Danny as well.”
Greta Van Fleet burst onto the scene a few years ago with “Highway Tune,” a track that picked up significant steam on the radio and online due to the group’s unabashed and enthusiastic appreciation for what came before:
That song built up a feverish interest in the group, which parlayed the attention into heavy touring and spots on festivals including the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam in 2018, where they played to a huge main stage crowd.
More on the impact the band had on the music scene at the time, per a news release:
“Highway Tune” would be followed by three more consecutive #1 singles, a debut album that entered Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Top Album Sales charts at #1, a Grammy Award for “Best Rock Album,” appearances on “The Tonight Show” and “Saturday Night Live,” a Gold-certified debut album, an overflow crowd at their Coachella debut, a personal phone call from Elton John inviting them to perform at his Academy Awards Viewing Party, and most consequentially, 246 sold-out tour dates in 13 countries over five continents.
It’s been a life-changing few years for the lads in Greta Van Fleet, and if “My Way, Soon” is any indication, they’re primed for more soon.
