Gibson Launches Record Label, First Release to Be New LP from Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators

Gibson is known the world over for its guitars, but the iconic company announced this week that it’s heading into new territory with Gibson Records, a new music label based in Music City, Nashville, TN, a label partnership with BMG. The first album scheduled for release from the label will be a new effort from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
The celebrated guitarist known for his unmistakable presence in Guns N’ Roses, his years of high-profile status as a key artist in the extended Gibson family, his solo career and previous work with Kennedy and the Conspirators, said this in a statement:
“It’s an honor to be the first release on the new Gibson Records. It’s a zenith in our partnership for sure and having worked so closely with Gibson for so long, I know they will be a label that genuinely supports their artists creatively. Not just me, but all the artists they choose to work with. It’s perfect.”
As for Gibson’s vision for this new label, via a news release:
Iconic music that inspired generational movements has been recorded with Gibson guitars since the inception of recorded music. Gibson Records will work with Gibson artists to produce, record, and promote their music to fans around the world, spreading the power of their music, creating, building, and delivering guitar-centric music, across genres to fans across the globe.
The most recent album from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators was 2018’s Living the Dream, their third to date.
