Giants in the Trees is a musical ensemble from the Pacific Northwest featuring former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic — but don’t come here looking for “grunge,” because you won’t find it here.

No, Giants in the Trees aim for something much more “out there” than traditional angsty alt/rock, as their 2017 debut album showed. And now, with Vol. 2 having been released in late March, the group has premiered a video for “Star Machine.”

The video description sums things up pretty well, as it’s an eccentric little clip:

Take a tour of beautiful Western Wahkiakum County with the band in their Big Blue Whale of an automobile. Secrets will be revealed—to a funky beat. Turn up the volume!

In addition to Novoselic, who put the band together as a local project in Wahkiakum County in Washington state, Giants in the Trees features Erik Friend, Ray Prestegard and Jillian Raye.
