Watch Violet Grohl Join Her Dad Dave and the Foo Fighters to Sing X’s “Nausea” at Lollapalooza 2021

This past weekend, the Foo Fighters headlined Sunday night of the Lollapalooza Festival, which returned to Chicago’s Grant Park after being cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those in attendance or watching at home had to suspect Dave Grohl and the guys had big plans for their anticipated ‘Lolla return, and they delivered a rousing, 18-song set packed with hits, singalongs, disco jams from their new Bee Gees tribute release Hail Satin, a “Happy Birthday” for Dave’s daughter, Ophelia, and the type of electric rock concert atmosphere we’ve all missed for so long.
It also featured special guest: Violet Grohl, Dave’s eldest daughter, who joined her dad’s band to sing “Nausea,” originally from Los Angeles punk legends X. Watch it below, as streamed on Hulu:
This wasn’t the first time Violet, 15, joined her dad for a noteworthy performance of this song, as they recorded a cover for Grohl’s new documentary What Drives Us.
Additionally, back in late April they performed the track together with Dave’s pals Krist Novoselic and Dave Lombardo and Greg Kurstin for Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
And back in 2019, she joined the Foo Fighters onstage at the U.K.’s Reading Festival, where she helped sing “My Hero”:
The Foo Fighters have a handful of upcoming tour dates on the docket, a resumed tour itinerary that makes up for their postponed 25th anniversary gigs that had been planned for last year. The upcoming gigs include an Aug. 26 show at the Forum in Los Angeles, a rescheduled version of their July 17 gig that was pushed back due to COVID-19-related issues in the band’s inner circle.
A new date for @TheForum in Los Angeles, CA has been announced: August 26th, 2021.
Tickets to the July 17th show will be honored at this event. https://t.co/zqrpuDBW2T pic.twitter.com/svV9LuXgVi

This proper touring schedule marks the band’s first since the release of Medicine at Midnight, the Foos’ at times adventurous new studio album that was released in February 2021.
