Everclear: 30th Anniversary Tour, Reissue of 1993 Debut Album ‘World of Noise’ Coming 6/10

Originally recorded in a friend’s basement for $400, 1993’s World of Noise was the first release from Everclear, prior to its emergence in the mid-1990s as an alt/rock staple with era-defining radio hits like “Father of Mine” and “Santa Monica.”
In connection to the band’s 30th anniversary tour beginning next month, Everclear man man Art Alexakis has put together a special reissue of that first record, which predated the band’s 1995 breakthrough, Sparkle & Fade.
The new edition of World of Noise will be released on June 10, and will mark the record’s first time being made available on digital platforms, complete with six bonus tracks.
“World Of Noise has never been available digitally before because the masters reverted back to me several years before streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music came about,” said Alexakis. “So now I’m finally going to release it digitally for the first time and do a vinyl pressing that includes some old demos and stuff. It’ll be fun for the hardcore fans. I’m excited for everyone to get a chance to listen to this rarity of ours that really set the stage for this incredible career.”
World of Noise featured “Fire Maple Song,” a raw and earnest track that served as a preview of sorts of the more palatable alt/rock sound the band would unleash a few years later:
The track listing for the World of Noise reissue:
1. Your Genius Hands
2. Sick & Tired
3. The Laughing World
4. Fire Maple Song
5. Pennsylvania Is…
6. Nervous & Weird
7. Malevolent
8. Sparkle
9. Trust Fund
10. Loser Makes Good
11. Invisible
12. Evergleam
13. Drunk Again (previously unreleased bonus track)
14. Pacific Wonderland (bonus track)
15. Blondes (bonus track)
16. Detroit (bonus track)
17. 1975 (bonus track)
18. Nervous & Weird 2001 Remix (previously unreleased bonus track)
In addition to this news, there is also a new Everclear – 30 Years Gone: A Retrospective video hosted by longtime MTV video host, current radio DJ and Alexakis’ friend, Matt Pinfield:
Everclear is Alexakis (vocals, guitar), Davey French (guitar), Freddy Herrera (bass) and Brian Nolan (drums).
