Elton John’s Annual Oscars Pre-Party is Going Virtual with Dua Lipa & Neil Patrick Harris on 4/25

With the 93rd Academy Awards coming up on Sunday, April 25 — the new date of the festivities, after originally being rescheduled from Feb. 28 due to the COVID-19 pandemic — Sir Elton John has found a way to continue his yearly trend of a star-studded AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Pre-Party, now in its 29th year.
Normally, Elton and David Furnish would play host to a lavish group of musician and celebrity friends for their exclusive pre-party, but that’s not in the cards right now in the name of safety as we all try to defeat the virus. Instead, a special streaming event will take place, featuring host Neil Patrick Harris and pop sensation Dua Lipa.
I am so excited to announce that for the first time ever, you're invited to our #EJAFOscars party! Join @EJAF, David and myself for an unforgettable evening with our dear friend @ActuallyNPH, the incredible @DUALIPA plus many fabulous surprise names. Said Sir Elton in a statement:
This year, we are bringing our Oscar Party into people’s homes for the first time virtually for an unforgettable evening with David, myself, our dear friend Neil Patrick Harris and the incredible Dua Lipa plus many fabulous surprise names. Now more than ever, we need to ensure that one pandemic does not override another, and we cannot forget the 38 million people living with HIV globally who need our care, love and support so we hope everyone joins us for this special one of a kind Oscar Pre‐Party.” – Elton John
Tickets to access the virtual party are $19.99, and will of course benefit Elton’s AIDS Foundation.
