Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Says He, His Wife and Young Daughters Are On the Mend After Positive COVID-19 Tests

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is usually a a near-endless source of strength and uplift, as far as his social media presence is concerned, but on Wednesday evening the wrestler/actor/star took to his Instagram page to share an important, lengthy message with the world: He, his wife Lauren Hashian and their two young daughters Jasmine (4) and Tiana (2) all tested positive for the coronavirus.
The almost 12-minute video begins with Johnson saying, “I wanted to give you guys a little helpful update on things that have been going on on my end for the past two-and-a-half to three weeks now. So the update is this: my wife Lauren as well as my two baby girls and myself, we have all tested positive for COVID-19.”
He continues: “I could tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family, and for me, too, personally as well … and I’ve gone through some doozies in the past.”

Fortunately for the Johnson family, he says, they’re all on the mend, or on “the other side of it” as he says in his video. As summarized by People, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson explained:
“Testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries, or being evicted, or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times,” adding that the difference between other issues and contracting the virus “is because my No.1 priority is to always protect my family. And protect my children, my loved ones.
“I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn’t, it was my entire family, so this one was a real kick in the gut. But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We’re on the other end of it, we’re on the other side. We’re no longer contagious, and we are — thank God — we are healthy.”
In the clip, Johnson revealed that his family unknowingly contracted the illness from family friends — a reminder that we all need to continue to be on our safest behavior in order to curb the spread of this virus.
Best wishes to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, his family and anybody else suffering from the coronavirus at this time.
