Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses Released His New Solo Album, ‘Tenderness,’ and It’s Powerful (Listen)

Despite being pretty busy over the past couple of years on Guns N’ Roses’ massively successful Not In This Lifetime world tour, bassist Duff McKagan found time to work on a new solo record — and today, Tenderness was released.
Inspired by McKagan’s adventures over the years and the emotions he’s felt at various points, such as his reaction to the current state of the world, Tenderness features some raw, honest feelings.
Encountering heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide on his travels during this tumultuous time in our world history, McKagan channeled a collective hurt into songs of monolithic power, reads the news release.
Tenderness was produced by Shooter Jennings, and the album can be picked up now at this link).
For those who know McKagan as “that tall dude” next to Slash and Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses on stage, this record could be quite a revelation. McKagan’s long earned his reputation as one of the hardest working and most sincere rockers around, and it shows on this album.
Additionally, this isn’t loud, boisterous rock and roll. Rather, McKagan straps on his acoustic guitar for some songs that are … well, tender, as its title suggests.
