Today, Jan. 19, is the 76th birthday of undisputed national treasure and all-around cultural icon, Dolly Parton.

She isn’t content to kick back, put her feet up and just enjoy the day — rather, Dolly recently debuted a new song, “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,” an anthem for anybody who’s ever hitched a ride to Nashville with a songbook and fantasies of stardom.

The chorus:

Big dreams and faded jeans
Fit together like a team.
Always busting at the seams,
Big dreams and faded jeans.
Just my ole guitar and me
Out to find my destiny.
Nashville is the place to be
For big dreams and faded jeans.

Dolly explained the song’s motivation and scope in a social media post:

“Big Dreams and Faded Jeans” is a preview of Run, Rose, Run, a new studio album from Dolly Parton that is slated for release on March 4 via Butterfly Records. It will be her 48th solo studio album to date.

The album description:

Country/Bluegrass album, Run, Rose, Run that will be released along with a novel co-written with the famed author, James Patterson, sharing the title Run Rose Run. The 12 songs were inspired by the book storyline and feature Country and Bluegrass artists; Joe Nichols, Rhonda Vincent, The Issacs, and Dailey & Vincent. Dolly & James will be doing book and album promotions together – presenting a unique co-marketing opportunity.
