Asphalt Meadows is the title of a new album from Death Cab for Cutie that the esteemed indie/rock band will release on Sept. 16.

The 10th album from Ben Gibbard and his colleagues, it was previewed on Friday with a track called “Foxglove Through the Clearcut”:

“Foxglove is by far the most personal song on the record,” said Gibbard of the track. “While I was writing it, I thought I was merely the narrator. But the longer I sat with it, I realized I was both the protagonist AND the narrator.”
