Dead & Company Announce 31-Date U.S. Tour Starting in August (Tix On Sale 5/21)

Another major music act has unveiled plans to return to the live stage in 2021, and it’s a big one: Dead & Company will embark on a U.S. run beginning in August, it was announced on Thursday by the jam band supergroup. Registration for ticket opportunities is now live at the band’s website.
After having to cancel their planned 2020 tour due to the pandemic, the ensemble featuring Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti and special guest pal John Mayer will resume their extended concert experiences starting in Raleigh, N.C. on Aug. 16 and wrapping with a three-show stint at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles that concludes on Halloween.
In a clever and most appropriate twist, the poster for this new tour references the Grateful Dead classic “Truckin’,” with the lyrics What a long strange trip it’s been, which all but sums up the past year-plus of our collective human experience:
WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT’S BEEN… 🌹
We are so excited to see you out on the road this year! #VerifiedFan Presale registration is now open at https://t.co/rLECIkcrke. General on sale begins Friday, May 21st at noon local time. See you soon⚡️💀 pic.twitter.com/Q1gPp7OuSu
